The PSUK Snowdonia Sevens was held on Saturday 2nd July, a day that promised bad weather, and up until the summit of Snowdon delivered low cloud, cold air and visibility no more than twenty metres.
West Midlands had provided 3 teams, a mixed team, a vets team, and a mens interforceÂ team.
Once down to Pen Y Pass, the visibility cleared and a good day was to be had.Â After almost a dozen teams retiring, orÂ having navigationional issues, West Mids mixed team completed the 23 miles and 8000ft of climb in 7hrs 20 minutes, placing second in the mixed catagory, with first place only 20 minutes ahead, the vets team comprising of firearms officers finished fifth in there catagory in 7hrs 21 minutes, and mens interforceÂ team came fourth in the open catagory in 7hrs 22 minutes.
Next years event will go ahead, the start of July, dates released next week.
