WMP Mens Vets 11 – Leicestershire 0

Last week saw the Force Vets in action in the PSUK national competition.

Leicestershire Police were welcomed under floodlights to our beloved Tally Ho. West Mids started well with some excellent passing that stretched the Leicestershire midfield and defence.

Once the space was created, wingers Widdicombe and Thomas looked lethal. Thus leading to numerous chances for them both. With chances being created and combined with excellent finishing, West Mids lead 6-0 at halftime.

The second half was played at a much slower pace with West Midlands comfortably cursing along. West Mids made some substitutions that rallied the team again. The new legs were too much and put a downed Leicestershire to the sword.

West Midlands continued with the pressure and ended up 11 – 0 Winners. Leon Thomas (FOU) and Brian Steatham (OSU) made excellent contributions with John Widdicombe (Force contact) being awarded player of the match scoring 3 and assisting another.

Our next game is at Tally Ho on the 11th November 19:30 KO. Support is most welcome.
