Police Sport UK Shooting Championships

The West Midlands Police Shooting Section hosted the PSUK Shooting Sections’ 2016 Short Range Championships on 19th and 20th February.

The Championships were held at Rugeley Rifle Club, where individuals and teams from the all areas of the UK, including PSNI and a large contingent from Police Scotland, competed in Lightweight Sporting Rifle, Air Pistol and Smallbore Rifle competitions.

This was followed by a presentation dinner at The Ramada Hotel, North Birmingham, on the Saturday evening.

The standard of shooting was excellent and the event was enjoyed by all who attended.

West Midlands Police won the Smallbore Rifle Team competition with a score of 1171 out of a possible 1200.

The Air Pistol team were 3rd.

The individuals in Air Pistol and Smallbore Rifle were 3rd and 4th respectively.
