Forget the football we won !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A team of three members headed off to Rodbaston Equestrian centre, Penkridge, Staffs to compete in the Team Quest competition. It was very hot in the arena and we all came out a little red-faced but we smashed it!!
I rode my super little ginger mare in the Prelim and got a cracking score of 68.8% which I’m very chuffed about and didn’t even hold onto her neck strap, hurrahhh!
Jac Preece then did a lovely calm and obedient Novice test with another cracking score of 67% which add’s to another super score for the combination this season.
Diana Shaw was the last to go and rode a cracking test on her dressage diva Denby. He flew across the arena to score a cracking 72.6% which was credit to Di’s riding as his trot is mega!!
It was lovely to catch up with everyone on a very calm and relaxed day. Although it wasn;t a massive turnout those scores were a credit to everyone’s hard work out of lockdown and shows the massive improvement everyone is making. Big thanks to grandparent and kids for supporting us on the day, it’s not off-putting when you have your son shouting halt at X during every movement and Jac’s little mabn being desperate to hug mum as shes doing her test!
Lets hope that if we get to regionals and then the finals we don’t have to go to a penalty shoot out!!
